Learn to take pictures that give memories justice.

So you bought a new fancy camera, but you have left it in auto for over a year.

Let me help you learn how to shoot like a professional!

I wish I could capture this memory.

Why are my images so plain?

How do I make the background fuzzy?

Why are my images always blurry?

How do I make the image brighter?

Are you navigating these thoughts with a camera in hand?

I know you get frustrated because there are so many settings, but I promise I can break it down and teach you.

I am here to share with you The Burman Method of shooting in manual because it has helped me capture my own children, and has empowered so many people to fall in love with an art.

Chapter 1

Exposure
This chapter covers much of what you need to build a foundation of knowledge for shooting in manual. You must understand and know what each point of the triangle does, so ISO, shutter speed, and aperture come together to make sure your images look good, clean, crisp, and light. I will walk you through what each controls and show you how to find these numbers on your camera. Then, you have to learn to adjust each setting, so you know what buttons control each setting.

Chapter 2

Focus
I love shooting in manual, but one thing I let my camera do for me is focus! I do pick my focus mode, then how many focus points I want, tell the camera where to focus, and for how long. This is not tricky, it is a skill of muscle memory and I will share all my settings and what that would look like on top brands like Nikon and Canon. You will also be introduced to back of camera focusing which has made my photography journey a good one especially when working with kids! I even give a quick lesson on composing images so you follow the rule of thirds!

Chapter 3

Want to know more about what you will learn in each chapter?

Look inside the course:

White Balance
This would not be a full course in shooting in manual if the topic of White Balance wasn’t talked about. Yes, this is one of the easiest things to fix in post production, or editing, but I want you to be able to get it all correct in the camera so you can export, print and share.

Chapter 4

General Tips
You need to know which SD cards are the best, and how to organize all the amazing images your plan to take. I also help you find good lighting situations and offer general rules I follow to get the best images for myself, and my clients.

Let’s be real - my business viewpoint is all about authenticity and credibility, so I am not going to throw you a curveball and tell you this offer is only available this week. Because I don’t plan on keeping this information from people.

So, the most accurate thing I can tell you is that by putting off purchasing “The Burman Method Learn to Shoot in Manual” just makes you miss more opportunities to capture memories. Also, if you own a fancy camera but don’t know how to shoot in manual, you are just an owner of a paper weight that takes a few good shots a year. Get more out of your investment.

Seven short years ago I was exactly where you are now!

I am the daughter of a photographer, a lover of the arts and I was a teacher to high school photo journalists. My ability to teach photography and how to shoot in manual is something I see as a superpower.

I love seeing moms come through the course and then share fun images from vacation or watching students take pictures of each other for their senior pictures, that makes me proud. This is a skill that helps everyone remember important moments and I do not take my job of teaching lightly.

I want people to create, remember, and then create some more.
