Leah and Chandler :: Indiana Micro Wedding

I remember talking to Leah on the phone for the first time. She was so kind, gentle, and welcoming. I was so eager to book her, not for the client on the books, but a friend in my future.

We met for her and Chandler’s engagement session at their old college we laughed and had a blast. From there we had a live document for details and that girl had pictures of a location ready to share with me. She was after my planning heart.

Then COVID came into the picture. We didn’t plan for a pandemic. My heart broke for Leah and Chandler as we started brainstorming for Plan B and keeping Plan A special for a year later. Leah quickly moved all the wedding plans from Goshen, Indiana, to Berne, Indiana. I talked on the phone with her about florists, cakes, donuts, locations, and friend vendors. She was coming to my neighborhood and I was eager to help.

The plans for a big wedding shrank, but her plans for a marriage worth savoring was no smaller, and I could feel that in our talks and texts. I would have given her my old wedding dress if she needed it.

As the wedding date got closer and details were in place, I think we both relaxed a little and I could feel Chandler’s excitement. Then a hard email came, the want to just have Plan B, be THE PLAN forever. Then I realized, I would want the same, who would want to do a wedding AGAIN in a year, so Plan B was the BEST plan and I was so excited for them.

A small venue, with family, simple decor, and love to hold it all together. The beauty in the wedding took my breath away.

Take a look for yourself, a visual of the day.

A small dinner party left room for chatting and amazing speeches from the “Mother of Honor” and the brother of the groom. I think we all teared up as homage was paid to Leah and Chandler as individuals and as married couple.

I have such great memories from this day, and I was behind the camera! Can you imagine how loved these love birds felt. This day was perfect, even better than Plan A.

Amanda, thank you for being a part of this from engagement to reception. You are so incredibly talented. You captured moments that will forever be etched in my memory. Your creativity, positivity, and evil eye to drive by boaters is very much appreciated. Your ability to relax the bride and enjoy the moment is a gift from God. Bless you!!
