Senior Intern Love – Class of 2021 – Abby

This is going to be a two part blog.

Part 1 – Say hello to my little friend. (Did you read that in an accent? Good.) Abby is one of my interns this year and she has been around for a while as a student and I am so excited to have her here! Abby will be spending time helping me grow my Pinterest and possibly doing some behind the scene filming.

She still calls me Mrs. Burman and I am not sure she will ever call me Amanda. Here are some interesting facts about her from her intern interview:

What do you love about photography?
I love the fact you can capture a memory and hold onto it forever.

How did you find Burman Photography?
I found Burman Photography through school. Mrs. Burman was originally my dance teacher and then became my American Literature and Yearbook/Journalism/Photography teacher!

What is your favorite beverage?
My drink of choice is definitely iced coffee with Cold Stone Creamer.

Favorite subject/class in school?
My favorite subject in school is probably any math, because I love being able to get a definite answer.

What are you looking forward to learning during your internship?
I am looking forward to being able to learn from a great photographer and learn the details behind what goes into a single photo. I also love the marketing strategies and how to think like clients.

What are you most comfortable doing for my business?
I am most comfortable working the social media side of the business because I’m not rushed to get the perfect shot.

Favorite music/song to jam out to while working?
My favorite song to work to is anything Lizzo because Mrs.Burman and I always play it when we work, and it puts me in a great mood.

Part 2 – Abby is also one of my sweet seniors this year! She has been talking about her session since I had her in class as junior and to bring all the outfits and locations to life was amazing. She wanted urban and river, so we made that happen on a hot Indiana night! All of these images come from her summer senior session and you see so much of her outer beauty, but also that sweet soul that I have grown to love.

I joke that we are so much alike it is scary. At the same time though, her attention to detail and her want to see me succeed, help me trust and love her. Abby is currently navigating her senior year during COVID and doing her best to succeed at Volleyball (you guys, she is great!). Send her good vibes.
